ADRON Games Set To Holds With Over 2000 Athletes

Over 2000 staff of A Real Estate company, Adron Homes and Property, Students from Eight tertiary Institutions are set for the fifth edition of the Adron Games in sagamu.

The game which will take centre stage from 18th to 20th November, 2021 at the Gateway International Stadium, Sagamu, Ogun state.

The Group Managing Director of Adron, Emmanuel King represented by the Director General Ayodeji Omoniyi disclosed that the real estate firm will use the games to discover potential athletes that will represent Nigeria at internatnational competitions.

He revealed this during the Ogun State Chapter of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Forum held at the MKO Abiola stadium Abeokuta, Ogun State.

Omoniyi buttresed, that participants will be drawn from banks, real estates, staff of Adron Homes and Students atheletes from tertiary Institutions.

In his words, “we have not less than eight big banks working with us and partner with us. Our colleagues in real estates will partner with us. We are also looking to get past Super Eagles players and the Ogun all stars to play friendly match before the games to create awareness.

“We are moving the games to Ogun state and coincidentally Ogun happen to be where most of our projects are. Most of our investment are here in Ogun state. We are bringing the games to the state and we will be using Gateway international stadium for the game. We have done a renovation of the stadium in Sagamu.”

Also, the consultant for the Games and Ex-international, Waheed Akanni revealed participants will feature in 18 games with Professional officials from the Ogun state sports council.

On his part, the state SWAN chairman, Akeem Akintunde expressed readiness to partner with Adron in discovering new talents for the growth of the sport sector through massive reportage of the games.

“The SWAN forum is a monthly program to explore potentials of the sports sector and contribute to the development of sports in the country”.
