Re-Crisis In Ado-Odo Ota LG As Ogun Deputy Governor Turns Chairman To Puppet

The Chairman of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government area of Ogun State, Hon. Sheriff Adewale Musa has denied a media report insinuating that he was being used as a puppet by the Deputy Governor of the state, Eng. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, who hails from the local government area.
Musa, who said that Salako-Oyedele remained his political leader having supported his candidature in the election, said that the report that the Deputy Governor wanted to impose political appointees on him must have emanated from fifth columnists in the council area.

“Our attention has been drawn to a media report entitled; “Crisis in Ado-Odo Ota LG As Ogun Deputy Governor Turns Chairman To Puppet,” published recently by an online media’ landmarkupdate.blogspot.com.

“The Chairman of the council, Hon. Sheriff Adewale Musa wishes to state that the relationship between him and the Deputy Governor is cordial and that there has never been any rift between them over the appointment of political office holders in the local government.
“The report is a figment of the imagination of the sponsors. It is a spurious allegations meant to play a seed of discord in the local government. There is no crisis among the leaders in the local government. The Deputy Governor is a democrat and we want the people to ignore any insinuation that the Deputy Governor want to choose aides for the chairman. The Deputy Governor is a mother and she was instrumental to the emergence of Sherriff Musa as the Chairman of the council,” the chairman’s statement read.
The chairman then warned those he called ‘promoters of crisis’ to desist from such in the council area, while promising to work assiduously for the development of the local government and fulfill his campaign promises to the people.
