OGBC WILL GET STATE OF THE ART EQUIPMENT BEFORE I EXIT OFFICE – AMOSUN

The Ogun State Government has reiterated it resolve to equip the state owned broadcasting corporation (OGBC) with a state of the art equipment that would be in line with Ogun State standard mantra before the expiration of this government.

The State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun disclosed this when the executives of Radio, Television and Theatre Arts Union (RATTAWU), led by its acting Chairman, Comrade Adewole Bamgbose, paid him a courtesy call in his Abeokuta office.

Amosun, while noting that the newly constructed Ogun State Television is one of the projects to be commissioned by President Muhammad Buhari, added that he had received so many messages on the issue of Ogun State Broadcasting Corporation, promising to do something about it.

The Governor thanked RATTAWU for its support, acknowledging the contributions of its members, who have been working round the clock, to complement government’s efforts.

Earlier in his speech, the Acting Chairman of the Union, Comrade Adewole Bamgbose appreciated the Governor on behalf of the union, for the various gesture extended to the union, including increases in subvention and bail out to OGBC and OGTV, especially in times of crisis.

Comrade Bamgbose also used the avenue to appreciate the Governor for the appointment of General Managers for the two State owned stations, as well as the appointment of a former Director of culture in the State, as Permanent Secretary.
