Ogun Government Repairs Bad Roads In Sango/Idiroko Road

The Ogun State Government, under the leadership of Governor Dapo Abiodun has continued to fulfill its campaign promises to the people with people-oriented projects.

One of this is the palliative that is currently going on in Sango to Oju Ore axis of the Idiroko Expressway.

The road had become an eyesore and danger zone for small and big vehicles, especially trailers and trucks that usually summersault in the area almost on a daily basis due to the state of the road.

A visit to the area revealed that a gully in front of Wema Bank and Lombardy Company has been filled with heavy rocks, while trailers and heavy duty trucks now make use of the road.

This has decongested Joju Road to Abeokuta expressway that is currently under reconstruction by the state government.

It will be recalled that the Minister of Works and Housing, Mr. Babatunde Fashola and his team, accompanied by Governor Dapo Abiodun visited all the bad roads in the state few weeks ago.

It was however, reliably gathered that Sango-Idiroko Expressway would be reconstructed fully by Globacom Nigeria owned by Otunba Mike Adenuga and that the project, which would be delivered in 2022, is being done in exchange for tax payment by the company.

Observers are even saying that the protests being organized by some residents of Sango over the terrible state of the road along that axis is needless and that people should wait for sometime and that as the rainy season is going to an end, all the palliative works would be expedited on all the roads in the state.

The Sango-Idiroko Road had been terrible such that motorists found it difficult to ply the road.

This was said to have led the Governor to embark on the palliatives on the road.

The Governor, sources said, was once stranded on the road such that he had to go down from the vehicle and direct traffic.

The Federal Government is currently repairing Lagos-Abeokuta expressway and they are getting close to Joju area of Sango.

All thanks to Governor Dapo Abiodun, who has made it a point of duty to focus on infrastructure development in the gateway state.
