PDP Condemns Destruction Of Campaign Posters, Bill Boards In Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government*

The People’s Democratic Party in Ado-Odo/Ota local government has condemned destruction of its campaign billboards and posters in the local government area by Ogun state Advertising Agency, describing it as ‘deliberate attempt to upturn the widespread acceptance and chances of its candidates in the coming general election’.

This was contained in a statement issued by the party’s campaign committee Director General in the local government, Chief Femi Obanla.

Obanla, who lamented that APC, having discovered the widespread acceptance of his party and its clear chances of cruising home to victory at the poll in the February and March elections, resulted to using state machineries to undermine its chances.

He said that his party had at several times, approached Ogun state advertising board before the commencement of the campaign window in a bid to officially formalize all the necessary requirements in carrying out its outdoor campaign advertisement, but the board, acting on the instructions of the APC led administration, frustrated all these attempts, and has now resulted to being a destructive tool in the hands of its paymasters.

Chief Obanla appealed to Ogun state Commisioner of Police, Lanre Bankole, Director of DSS and other security agencies in the state to closely monitor the affairs of Governor Dapo Abiodun’s APC led activities in the state and not allow them use state apparatuses to frustrate the clear chances of oppositions in the state.

“Our Campaign charges the security agencies to closely monitor the activities of Prince Dapo Abiodun in the state, especially in Ado-Odo/Ota local government as they are hell bent on using all state apparatuses to their advantage in the coming election”.

The Peoples Democratic Party in Ado-Odo/Ota and Ogun west commended electorates for being resolute in their determination to vote in Atiku/Okowa as the next President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, PDP Gubernatorial Candidate, Hon. Ladi Adebutu, Ogun West Senatorial Candidate, Chief Ganiu Adeleke Dada Obanibasiri, its House of Representatives Candidate, Hon. Mustapha Adekunle Banana and all its House of Assembly candidates and to commence the onerous task of  ‘change the change’, rescue our nation and rebuild her prosperity from the misrule of the APC”.
