Prince Jide Fadairo Congratulates Dapo Abiodun Over His Re-Election

...... How Fadairo Successfully Delivered His Polling Unit In Abese, Ewekoro LG

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ewekoro Local Government area of Ogun State, Prince Jide Fadairo has congratulated Governor Dapo Abiodun (MFR) of the state over his re-election into office on Saturday March 18, 2023.

Fadairo however, said that the victory of Governor Dapo Abiodun is a reflection of his acceptance by the majority of the people of the state, who he said appreciated what he was able to do in the last four years despite the outbreak of COVID-19 in 2020 and the economic challenges in the country.

The former aspirant for Federal House of Representatives in Ifo/ Ewekoro Federal Constituency said further that the election was a keenly contested process, where he said Governor Abiodun was re-elected by the people to serve for another four years, having done well in his first term.

He said further that despite what some people did to stop Governor Abiodun from returning to office in some parts of the state, the people of Ewekoro Local Government worked tirelessly to ensure victory for the Governor and the party.

Fadairo revealed that he was able to canvass votes for the Governor such that Polling Unit 007 in Methodist Primary School Abese, where he voted had the highest votes in the area.

He added that his ward; Arigbajo Ward 3, came first in the entire Ewekoro LG to deliver victory for Governor Dapo Abiodun.

Arigbajo ward polled 987 votes for the APC for the Governorship election, while it polled 978 for the House of Assembly.

This made Arigbajo Ward 3 the first in Ewekoro LG with the highest votes in all 10 wards in the local government.

Fadairo paid glowing tributes to a former governor of Ogun State, Baba Akinrogun Segun Osoba, who he said contributed a lot to the actualization of the second term ambition of the Governor.

He commended Osoba, who he said has truly proven to be an elder statesman and a father to all in the party, who he said still has much roles to play in the development of the state and the country generally.

It is however on record that the Governor got more votes in Ogun West and Ogun Central, while many people did not vote for the Governor in Ogun East, where he hails from.

Prince Fadairo noted that the pattern of vote in Ogun East is a betrayal of sort, and wondered why this was so despite all that the Governor did in the area.

“This showed that some people voted for money rather than development as Governor Dapo Abiodun did more projects in the state than any other Governor.

“He did many road projects across the 20 local governments in the state. He constructed an airport, which was conceived by former governor Gbenga Daniel. He constructed the longest runway in Nigeria, which was confirmed by the Minister of Aviation.

“How would you now say that such Governor is not voted for by his own people. But, he is not deterred by that. He is determined, he is focused and he would continue to serve the people to the best of his ability. God is never on the side of evil people, which is what this election has proven.

“The people that planned against Governor Abiodun pretended to be his friends, but God raised him up in their presence and elected him back into office. Governor Dapo Abiodun would continue into 2027 and he would continue doing projects.

“His campaign was issue based and developmental based and you can see it. It doesn’t have to be when you give money to people. That is not what the people need. This man has done a lot for the people,” he said.

Fadairo then enjoined the opponents of the Governor to join hands with him to build the state rather than challenging an election, which he said was so glaring that the people wanted the Governor back into office.
