RESIDENTS IN OTA ASSURED OF MORE DIVIDENDS OF DEMOCRACY

Chairman, Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government of Ogun State, Chief Oladele Bashir Adeniji, has reiterated his administration’s concerted plans to bring about socio-economic development to the nooks and crannies of the Council Areas

Adeniji while stating this during the presentation of 2019 budget proposal at the Legislative Chamber of the Council, assured that his administration would ensure even spread of dividends of democracy towards providing better life for residents in the Area.

He noted that the Council’s commitment to the mission to transform the local government has been reinforced by the total support received from the people, despite paucity of funds and inconveniences experienced while executing various projects and programmes.

The Council Boss disclosed that his administration has recorded modest achievements, which would further be consolidated upon this year, listing the achievements to include; sinking of motorized boreholes, with generating set at Tigbo-Otun and Ago Ishaga Market, Ota, distribution of exercise Books for primary school pupils, reconstruction of a block of four classrooms, with office and ante-room at Ansar-ur-deen Primary School, Ota, grading of Ilupeju road, Ota, as well as, equipping the Local Government Centre with over 825 Plastic Chairs.

Other areas of intervention according to him includes; Purchase of Mattresses, Accu-chek Active and Sphygmomanometer for Local Government Health Centre, renovation of Tuberculosis Office at the LG Secretariat, Free Eye screening and treatment of minor eye ailment for residents, in conjunction with Eye For Africa Foundation, construction of Ultra modern shopping complex of 116 lock-up shops and 42 lock-up-shops at Joju and Olofinmoyin market, Sango-Ota respectively, amongst others.
