Gbenga Daniel Builds Media Team To Work Against Dapo Abiodun’s Govt

Former governor Gbenga Daniel of Ogun State has taken the cold war between him and the incumbent Governor Dapo Abiodun of the state to the next level.

The latest news from the camp of Otunba Gbenga Daniel aka OGD, is that he has raised a team of journalists to polish his image and disparage Governor Dapo Abiodun, who he now sees as an enemy.

The media team, sources said, is headed by the Special Adviser on Media to OGD, Mr. Steve Oliyide, who has reportedly recruited some media guys in Lagos, who are helping to attack and disparage the incumbent Ogun State Government.

It was exclusively revealed that the journalists comprise online publishers, including a top society writer and owner of a popular online site, and some print journalists.

Their mandate, we gathered, is to tell lies to incite the public against Prince Dapo Abiodun, and paint his government in bad light.

“Their job is to undermine Governor Dapo Abiodun and paint his government as the worst in Ogun State. They are being fed with fake news, which they share through their WhatsApp platform that was created for that purpose.

“They are being funded by former governor Gbenga Daniel and they are expected to go all out to fault all the projects and programmes of the incumbent Governor.

“It is very clear that OGD wants Governor Dapo Abiodun to fall at all cost, which was why he has moved beyond the shenanigans he perpetrated during the last governorship election in the state, when he worked for Hon. Ladi Adebutu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) despite being and a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) under which he had earlier won his senatorial election on February 25, 2023,” said a source.

Our sources added that time will tell if “nemesis will not catch up with Otunba Gbenga Daniel,” adding that he has shown that “he has proven to the whole world that he is a wolf in sheep’s clothing.”
