Top Ogun West Political Leaders Want Gov Abiodun To Drop Noimot Salako Oyedele As Deputy Governor

... Why They Say She Is A Liability

Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State have started making moves to influence Governor Dapo Abiodun of the state to get an alternative for her Deputy, Eng. (Mrs.) Noimot Salako-Oyedele in 2023.

They based their decision on what the termed; “we must put an end to the excesses of a woman we thought would perform and work with the Governor to bring development to the Gateway State and change the fortune of the people of Ogun West as an indigene of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government area of the state.”

Noimot Salako-Oyedele, who they said has no political value, was reportedly nominated for the position through the magnanimity of Dapo Abiodun and some political big wigs in Lagos State led by Chief Bode George of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Her husband, Mr. Oyedele is said to be a very close friend of Bode George and is a top member of the PDP in Lagos State.

Sources maintained that Noimot Salako-Oyedele has made herself the Margaret Thatcher of Ado-Odo/Ota politics, adding that she always relegates all established politicians in the Local Government.

It was alleged that Salako-Oyedele doesn’t respect anybody and that she believes she could get whatever she wanted “despite the fact that she has no political clout even in the area where she hails from.”

According to sources, Salako-Oyedele doesn’t respect anybody in her local government and she is said to have turned herself to lord over others.

A source alleged that Salako-Oyedele doesn’t have any influence in her local government “other than using the name of Governor Dapo Abiodun to go away with lots of wrongs.”

It was reliably gathered that if she “tries any nonsense this time around hell will let loose.”

“She believes in sorting out Salako family members only in Ado-Odo/Ota. She does not want Senator Solomon Adeola Olamilekan aka Yayi as Ogun West Senatorial candidate.

“There is no doubt that Yayi will help the fortune of the APC in Ogun West as a senatorial candidate and help the second term ambition of Governor Dapo Abiodun.

“Noimot Salako-Oyedele has not gone beyond Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government among all the five local government areas in Ogun West since she became Deputy Govenor.

“People know that she is not a force to reckon with in Ogun West and she is not the best person for Governor Dapo Abiodun in 2023.

“What we are saying is that we need a more credible person as Deputy Govenor from Ogun West in 2023 and by the grace of God we will achieve our aim,” said a source, who added that “it is time for Noimot Salako-Oyedele to leave the stage for a better person.”

There are stories making the rounds that Noimot Salako-Oyedele has decided to write the names of all ward delegates from Ogun West for the coming primary election.

It was also gathered that the Deputy Governor wanted to be the sole decider of all candidates in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government.

“She doesn’t have any influence in other four LGs that makes up Ogun West.

“People even refer to her as Deputy Governor of Ado-Odo/Ota, and she has no political relevance in Ogun West at the moment,” a source told us.
