Why Dapo Abiodun’s Former Chief Of Staff, Shuaib Salisu Will Lose Ogun Central Senatorial Seat In 2023 Election!!

..... PDP's Olumide Aderiokun Will Beat Him Hands Down

Former Chief of Staff to Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State, Shuaib Salisu is one politician, whose style of politics might be a researchable material for those interested in writing on why some politicians fail to achieve their ambitions.

Salisu, the candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun Central Senatorial District for the 2023 general elections, might have been given an opportunity to move to the class of seniors lawmakers, but it appears he is reluctant to prepare the ground for what ought to be a lifetime opportunity.

The former aide to ex-governor Ibukunle Amosun of Ogun State, who resigned to join the team of Governor Dapo Abiodun, has reportedly not gone beyond clinching the ticket of the party for the election months after the primary election was held.

Sources close to Salisu stated that he is arrogant, and that he is not known in the political space of Egbaland, adding that his lackadaisical attitude to the whole process would give an opportunity to his rival in the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), Hon. Olumide Aderinokun, who we were told has been on top of the game since he got the ticket to vie for the office.

Unlike Shuaib Salisu, who has refused to mobilise party members for the exercise or prepare ground for the election campaign, which will kick off by month end, Aderinokun has been everywhere getting across to the people of Ogun Central Senatorial District, who see him as the best man for the job.

This is coupled with a report that Senator Amosun has vowed to ensure that Salisu does not succeed him in the red chamber as the current occupier of the enviable office.

“There is no way Shuaib Salisu will win the election. It is as if he is not prepared for the campaign. Nobody has seen him, he has not visited anyone, and he has not reached out to the people.

“No member of the party in the area is talking about him. He is not known, we don’t see him among the people and there is no sign that he is ready to convince the residents of the area that he could do the job.”

“On the contrary, Olumide Aderinokun, the Senatorial Candidate of the PDP for Ogun Central, is on top of the game. He has warmed himself into the hearts of the people, and he has been moving roumd, giving out scholarship awards and assisting the less-privileged and unemployed in the area. People love him because he has been identifying with them.

“Aderinokun is a responsible fellow that we can vouch for. There is no doubt that he will win the election by landslide victory and I can tell you that we will rally round him, when the time comes because he has paid his dues,” a source told us.

Investigations revealed that no one is feeling the impact of Salisu in the senatorial district with many wondering if the APC was serious about winning the election in the area.

According to our findings, compared to other candidates of the party in the state, Salisu is like a wasted chance that could affect the fortune of the party in the state.

It was revealed that the whole thing boils down to the fact that Salisu is stingy and that he is not a conventional politician that knows what it takes to win an election, adding that he could not even win an election as a local government councilor.

“Salisu is the worst candidate of the APC in Ogun State. Nobody knows him, no one reckons with him and he is not known to the leaders as well as members of the APC in Ogun Central Senatorial District.

“He has also not helped matters and this has proven those who were opposed to his candidature right that he would be a spoiler for the party and that he is an unwilling bride for the people of the area,” said a source, who added that Salisu is nothing, but a failed effort “on the part of those, who sold him to the leaders of the party in the state.”
