Ogun Deputy Gov., Engr Noimot Salako- Oyedele Disgraced Again In Ota

... Booed At APC Meeting

The popularity of the Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele appears to be reducing by the day, especially in Ogun West, where she hails from.

We were informed that Salako-Oyedele has a lot to do to warm herself into the hearts of the people of the area, and that her impact has not been felt in the area since she got into office three years ago.

An instance was given of what happened at a meeting of the leaders and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ado-Odo/Ota, called by Eng. Salako-Oyedele on Tuesday July 5, 2022 to discuss issues affecting the party and its members in the area.

Among the APC leaders at the meeting were Senator Akin Odunsi, Hon. Waliu Taiwo, Hon. Remi Babawale, Hon. Tunji Akinosi, Hon. Sheriff Musa, Hon. Segun Ojolowo amongst others.

But the Deputy Governor reportedly got the shock of her life as she was disgraced and booed by many members of the party, who attended the meeting, which held at the APC secretariat in the area.

“Salako-Oyedele called the meeting to discuss issues affecting the party as she had not met with the APC members in the area after the party’s primary elections.

“She felt she should meet with the APC members in the area and pacify those that were aggrieved over the primary elections and prepare the ground for the 2023 General elections.

“But as she was speaking, some of the people around just started shouting “uuu, ole, ole, ole and this continued till the end of the meeting.

“She later held a closed door meeting with the leaders of the party. But the booing continued as she tried to leave the venue,” a source said.

Investigations revealed that Salako-Oyedele was embarrassed at the meeting because she has not played her role as a citizen of Ogun West as expected despite being the number two citizen of the state.

It was alleged that the Deputy Governor has not influenced any developmental project to the area since she got to office and that “it is hard to believe that Ota has a daughter in the Ogun State government house.”

But this was debunked by some sources close to the Deputy Governor, who said that the embarrassment was orchestrated “by some enemies of progress that are aggrieved over issues relating to the APC in the area.”
