London Based Ogun Indigene, Dayo Olushesi Support Yayi For Governor In 2027!

London-based Ogun indigene, Dayo Lukman Olushesi, has thrown his support behind Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, for the position of Governor of Ogun State in 2027.

Olushesi, who hails from Ota in Ado-Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State, believes that Yayi possesses the necessary qualities to transform the state.

Highlighting Yayi’s extensive political experience, including serving in the Lagos State House of Assembly, House of Representatives, and currently as Senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District, Olushesi emphasised Yayi’s track record of effective representation and impactful empowerment programs.

According to Olushesi, Yayi’s empowerment initiatives focus on providing lasting solutions by equipping people with skills and tools, such as freezers, generators, hair dryers, tricycles, motorcycles, sewing machines, and agricultural implements, rather than just distributing money.

He cited Yayi’s empowerment of over 50,000 people in Ogun West Senatorial District and other parts of the state, emphasising the enduring impact of his programs on the lives of the people.

Olushesi praised Yayi’s hands-on approach to governance, including his ward-to-ward tours and direct engagement with constituents, which he said have allowed him to understand the grassroots challenges and facilitate infrastructural interventions.

Dayo Olushesi, son of Alhaji Adesoji Olushesi and Alhaja Fausat iyabode Olushesi is of the opinion that only the best is good for Ogun State and that Senator Yayi has all it takes to turn the Gateway State around for the better from 2027.

Olushesi insisted that the enormous experiences Yayi has been able to garner over the years would work for him if given the opportunity to serve.

“This is a man that got to the Lagos State House of Assembly in 2003 and when he left there in 2011, he moved to the House of Representatives, where he was the Chairman of the Appropriation Committee.

“From there he moved to the Senate from Lagos West in 2015 and crossed to Ogun West in 2023. His records are there for everyone to see. Today, the people of Alimosho Federal Constituency that he represented in both the Lagos State House of Assembly and the House of Representatives would never forget him.

“Also, the people of Lagos West still have good memories of his welfare programmes all through the eight years that he spent at the Senate. His empowerment programmes are second to none and his quality representation is the best so far.

“Yayi knows what to do to change the fortunes of Ogun State for better and those of us in the Diaspora are behind him in whatever he does. We will stand by him and ensure that he wins the primaries of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and that he is eventually voted as the next Governor of Ogun State,” he said.

According to him, any political office holder dishing out only money to his or her people will only have temporary, short lasting effects in contrast to empowerment with skills and working tools such as freezers, generators,hair dryers, tricycles, motorcycles, sewing machine, agricultural implements and so on that will no doubt be enduring bringing prosperity and abundant life for the people. Yayi, is indeed hope for the hopeless in this era.

He added that with over 50,000 people empowered in Ogun West Senatorial District and the other two senatorial districts of Ogun State, Senator Adeola is without doubt walking the talk.

He stressed that Yayi’s empowerment programmes when he was representing Lagos West Senatorial District were equally massive making him a household name that Lagosians will not forget in a hurry.

“Interestingly, Yayi is not just a generous politician, he is a hardworking one who believes in connecting directly with the electorates to seek for their votes. Bulit up to the 2023 elections, without minding the cost implications, security risk and energy involved, he took the bull by the horns and embarked on ward to ward tour to 59 wards in Ogun West.

“This approach allowed him to experience first hand the infrastructural deficiencies in the nook and crannies of the district,” he said.
