2027 Election: Aare Waliu Taiwo Guns For Ogun West Senate Ticket!

While it appears the new administration in the country is just taking shape, the race for who gets what in the 2027 general elections seems to have surreptitiously started.
For instance, in Ogun West Senatorial District, the Senatorial ambition of the generalissimo of the politics of the zone under the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Waliu Olayiwola Taiwo, in the 2027 general elections, is said to be gathering momentum.
The status of Hon. Waliu Taiwo as a reliable personality was recently confirmed by the Olota of Ota, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Abdulkadir Adeyemi Obalanlege, who installed him as the Aare Ona Kakanfo of Ado-Odo/Ota.
The stage now appears to be set for Hon. Waliu Taiwo and the entire Ogun West is in frenzy as the consummate politician has declared his intention to gun for the Senatorial Seat of Ogun West in 2027.
Sources revealed that Taiwo is regarded as the man that has all it takes to diligently serve the people of the senatorial district having served as a member of the state house of assembly and as commissioner for works in the Gateway State.
“The entire Ogun West and the indigenes of Awori are rejoicing with the ambition of Hon. Waliu Taiwo. He is a man that has selflessly served the senatorial district over the years.
“Hon. Taiwo is a political giant in Ogun West and in the state generally. He has been around for many years, and he was part of the struggle for the actualisation of the June 12, 1993 Presidential Election won by the late Chief M.K.O Abiola.
“He worked for the success of Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State at the polls in 2019 and in 2023. He has always been playing his roles as a politician of repute, who means well for the people.
“He is a selfless leader, an advocate of better life for the masses with good track record as a politician,” said a source, who simply gave his name as Alhaji Adetunji.
It was revealed that Hon. Waliu Taiwo has been supporting the administration of Governor Dapo Abiodun by educating the residents of the state on the need to cooperate with him in his quest to ensure development all round the state.
Just as Governor Dapo Abiodun has been massively making things happen in Ogun State positively since he got into office in 2019, it was revealed that Hon. Waliu Taiwo is mapping out strategies to contribute his own quota to the development of the state as a senator.
“This is the time we have been waiting for. The incumbent senator representing the district, Senator Solomon Adeola Olamilekan aka Yayi has an ambition to contest for the governorship seat of Ogun State in 2027 after the incumbent Governor Dapo Abiodun must have served for two terms allowed by the constitution.
“So, Hon. Waliu Taiwo is ready to throw his hat into the ring to serve his people, and continue from where Yayi stops.
“He has all the requisite experience and there is no doubt that he will be a round peg in a round hole. What we want is just the support of the residents of the senatorial district, when the time comes.
“As far as Ogun West Senatorial District is concerned, Hon. Waliu Taiwo has no rival, he is ever ready to serve them if given the opportunity,” said Mr. Segun Arowolo, a resident of the area.
