Chairman of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, Hon. Sheriff Musa has expressed his heartfelt condolence to the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun over the death of his beloved father, Dr. Emmanuel Adesanya Abiodun.
In a statement released by his media office, the newly elected council chairman described the late patriach of the Abiodun family as a man of honour, who would be fondly remembered, not only by members of his immediate family, but by the people of Ogun State generally.
Musa, who prayed that the Almighty God would give the family “the fortitude to bear this great loss,” urged them to be consoled by the fact that Dr. Abiodun aka Baba Teacher lived a life worthy of envy, saying that he touched many lives positively.
“There is no doubt that Baba is in the right hand of God Almighty with his good works on the planet earth. We are glad that Baba left a legacy that can never be forgotten and we believe that his life is a good example to many others.
“We just want the family, including our amiable Governor, not to see his death as a loss, but to see his death as a transition to eternal life,” he said, adding that Baba would be remembered for all that he did for mankind, especially those who passed through his tutelage as a teacher.
The Chairman then advised everyone to see life as transient and to learn a lesson from someone like Dr. Abiodun, who he said lived a selfless life and did his best to ensure that his children were properly trained so that they could become vessels of honour to the state and to the country generally.
