“Police Report Exposes PDP’s Desperate Tactics: Laughable Petition Unveiled, Says Ogun APC Spokesperson”

By: Tayo Mabeweje

In a recent media statement, Tunde Oladunjoye, the State Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State, has shed light on the deceptive and desperate tactics employed by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to divert attention from their own grave shortcomings and undermine governance in Ogun State.

Oladunjoye’s statement highlights the attempt by the PDP, in collaboration with their defeated fugitive candidate, Ladi Adebutu, to market a police investigative report as evidence against the APC and Governor Dapo Abiodun However, a careful analysis of the report reveals glaring inconsistencies and a lack of credibility in the PDP’s allegations.

The police report, as emphasized by Oladunjoye, not only discredits the PDP’s claims but also exposes the party’s witnesses for their inability to provide concrete evidence or identify the alleged POS agents involved in the supposed vote buying scheme. The report’s findings directly contradict the PDP’s narrative and cast doubts on their credibility.

Oladunjoye points out that the PDP’s petition is a calculated afterthought, containing allegations that were conveniently omitted from their initial petition before the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal. This omission, as noted by Oladunjoye, raises suspicions about the PDP’s intentions and sincerity in pursuing the matter.

Furthermore, Oladunjoye highlights the irony of the situation, where the PDP attempts to gain public sympathy through their deceitful petition, while the police report actually indicts PDP officials and their defeated candidate as purveyors of unsubstantiated allegations.

The statement underscores the urgency for Ladi Adebutu to return to Nigeria and face the charges of vote buying. Oladunjoye emphasizes that Adebutu’s evasion of justice only reinforces the perception of the PDP’s lack of accountability and disregard for the rule of law.

In conclusion, the APC’s position einforces the notion that the PDP’s petition is a desperate and calculated attempt to divert attention from their own failures and create a distraction. The people of Ogun State deserve transparent governance and credible leadership rather than falling prey to the PDP’s deceptive maneuvers. Oladunjoye’s statement serves as a reminder that the truth prevails, even in the face of desperate tactics. As the lawyers would say, a person who makes a claim in equity must be free from any taint of fraud with respect to that claim.
