Ogun State Deputy Governor, Eng. Noimot Salako-Oyedele has debunked the claim in some quarters that she is against Senator Solomon Adeola Olamilekan aka Yayi, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Ogun West Senatorial District in the 2023 General Elections.
Addressing some journalists during an interactive session at her GRA, Ota residence on Thursday, Salako-Oyedele stated that she had no reason to be against Senator Yayi, who she referred to as her brother, adding that she has no reason to be against his candidature.
While insisting that she would work for the success of the party in the area, Salako-Oyedele, said that the people of Ota has nothing to fear about her support for all the APC candidates in the area.
“Well, I don’t know where you heard that I’m against Yayi. Yayi is my brother and we are a team here. If you must know, Yayi has come to Ota more than two times during this period and I helped him.
“I helped him reach out to all the traditional leaders here. I have nothing against Yayi. He is our Senatorial Candidate in Ogun West, and he has all my full support. This is political era, people just say a lot of things. No, I have nothing against him,” she said.
Salako-Oyedele added that the Prince Dapo Abiodun-led government in Ogun State has served the people of the state diligently, and urged the people to go out enmasse to vote for the APC in the 2023 General Elections.
The Deputy Governor advised that the best the people could do is to vote a party that has their interest at heart, saying that Governor Dapo Abiodun would not disappoint as he would continue to provide good leadership for the people of the state.
“We will not relent in our efforts of giving Ogun State the best as we have been doing since we got into office in 2019.
“Governor Dapo Abiodun is a man of the people and he will continue to do that if he is reelected.
“We should not allow those who deceived us in the past to come back to office. The APC is the best for the people and we will not disappoint them,” she said.
